Our brief for this EC Healthcare location started with the idea that a family clinic needs to feel genuinely trustworthy, not just comfortable.
Low-slung sofas, bar stools, vibrant artwork and decorative objects were chosen to create the atmosphere of somewhere you'd choose to spend time in, as opposed to the often frustrating, uninspiring experience of a waiting room. The considered, precise nature of the practice is reflected elsewhere, such as the steel and mirror accents and greyscale marble wallpaper. The pharmacy is integrated into a curved wall as a discreet niche, reinforcing the balance between functional requirements and patient experience, and acting as a metaphor for our approach as a whole.
