The brief for this 4,450-square-foot medical clinic was to find the space between clinical precision and spa-like softness, and to create an environment that’s serious in its function yet warm in its reception of clients.
Our response was a floor plan organised around the patient's experience of moving through the space. The reception and waiting areas set the tone, with warm timber and considered lighting and acoustics that absorb rather than amplify, and in the treatment rooms, equipment and storage are fully integrated for a calming patient experience.
