Our Central studio is the first experience our clients and collaborators have of Hero — eschewing the rigidity of a conventional office, it’s a space designed equally for work and hosting.
Drawing on residential and hospitality design sensibilities, our studio hosts workshops and client presentations, focused work and social moments. Inspired by founder Ann Chan’s travels through Europe, references to luxury train travel figure throughout and locate the studio as a point of departure and the start of a journey taken together. The bar and lounge areas set a welcoming tone for collaboration and conversation, while generous arches, metal frames and various seating configurations add to the train-travel feel.
Velvet and travertine meet yellow accents and custom Fromental wallpaper in Hero's brand colours, a deliberate contrast to the neutral tones that many Hong Kong offices default to. Anchoring the space are two terrazzo-topped islands built for the workshops and co-creation sessions that characterise our process; a Pantone wall lets clients pull colours by hand rather than page through a booklet; and the travertine meeting table is surrounded by Brazilian designer Juliana Vasconcellos’s iconic Giraffe chairs.
